| Summary: The Deer Willy Fuel Hazard Reduction project addresses a range of activities and proposals including 4,571 acres of strategic roadside and ridgeline fuel hazard reduction treatments; road systems and gate management; Port-Orford cedar root disease management (403 acres); noxious weed control; and maintenance of water sources for fire suppression. Fuels will be cut manually, removed as biomass, or hand piled and burned to reduce hazardous fuels while protecting federal lands, homes and private property. | |
