| Summary: The Glendale Resource Area will implement the proposed snag creation and stream habitat improvement activities analyzed in the Revised Middle Cow LSR Landscape Planning Project (EA# OR-118-06-022). This forest management decision includes placing boulders and large diameter logs in Tennessee Gulch to create pools and slow the stream current for fish habitat. The decision also includes creating up to 75 snags and hollow trees for wildlife habitat through girdling and inoculation after harvesting activities are completed where snags and coarse woody debris are lacking. Both activities will be implemented in the Late Successional Reserve and Riparian Reserve land allocations. | |
