Summary: The Butte Falls Resource Area will be implementing prescribed underburning on 400 acres of matrix lands located in the wildland-urban interface. The project will occur in the Big Butte Creek fifth field watershed in T34S, R1E, sections 9, 10, 11, and 15, and in T34S, R2E, sections 29 and 35. The prescribed underburning units were previously thinned, hand piled, and burned.
