| Summary: We recently completed an Environmental Assessment addressing fuel hazard reduction on the Grants Pass Resource Area. The proposed action would treat hazardous fuels on BLM land; along strategic roads and ridges; and on private lands under authority granted by the Wyden amendment or cooperative grants. Up to 1,500 acres per year would be treated, not to exceed 7,000 acres in the 5 years following signing of the first Decision Record for this project. The EA addresses the environmental effects of these proposed actions. | |
