Summary: The Glendale Field Manager is proposing thinning in 40-80 year old previously managed timber stands. The proposed activities are analyzed in the Mini Mule Project Environmental Assessment (DOI-BLM-M080-2010-001-EA) and preliminary Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) prepared by the Glendale Resource Area, Medford District, Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Mini Mule Project Environmental Assessment (EA) discloses the predicted environmental effects of thinning 286 acres of Matrix and riparian thinning in Riparian Reserves. Associated harvest activities include 26 miles of road maintenance on existing roads. The Planning Area (PA) is located approximately 18 miles west of the community of Glendale, and 20 miles west of Interstate 5. The legal description of the PA is Township (T) T.33S., Range (R) R.9W., Sections 15-23 and 27-33; and T.34S., R.9W., Sections 4-6 in Curry County,, Willamette Meridian.

Summary: The Glendale Resource Area of the Medford District BLM is proposing to thin 325 acres of previously managed 40 to 80 year old stands on BLM managed land and associated road maintenance and post activity fuel treatment. The Mini Mule Planning Area is located 15 miles west of Glendale and Interstate 5 on federally managed land. The legal description is (T) T.33S., Range (R) R.9W., Sections 15-23 and 27-33; (T) T.33S., Range (R) R.10W., Sections 13, 23-25, 35-36; and (T) T.34S., Range (R) R.9W., Sections 4-6 within Curry County.
