Summary: In September 2009, an environmental assessment (EA) for the Cove Creek Grazing Lease Renewal was completed and distributed for review and comment. In June 2010 and September 2011 a revised EA was posted to BLMs website to clarify several factors that were brought up during the EA comment period and points brought up in a protest of the withdrawn October 2010 Proposed/Final Decision. A decision has been made to implement Alternative 2. The Public Protest period is within 15 days of receipt of Decision.

Summary: The Revised Cove Creek Grazing Lease Renewal Environmental Assessment (EA) clarifies several points that were brought up in a protest of the October 2010 Proposed/Final Decision. The Decision has been withdrawn and the revised EA further supports the rationale for the upcoming proposed decision. This Revised Environmental Assessment will provide the information needed for the responsible official, the Ashland Resource Area Field Manager, to select a course of action to be implemented.
