| Summary: The Butte Falls Resource Area will build and install grates over mine adits and fill or fence mine shafts. Grates will be fastened to the surrounding rock with bolts or epoxy. If the rock cannot hold fasteners, a culvert will be installed in the mine portal with a grate attached to the culvert. Vertical mine shafts will be filled with rock and soil where possible. If it is not possible to fill, a fence will be constructed around the shaft. | |
