Summary: The Glendale Field Manager has selected to implement Alternative 3 of the Anaktuvuk Thin Project Environmental Assessment (EA) Number OR-118-06-010. This Decision Record includes: manually brushing competing vegetation on 48 acres, pre-commercial thinning 37 acres; removing biomass, and pruning 145 acres. This Decision is one of two for the Anaktuvuk Thin Project Environmental Assessment. Another Decision Record is signed for commercial thinning and treatment of activity fuels. The Anaktuvuk Thin Planning Area is located near Anaktuvuk Saddle within Douglas and Curry Counties, approximately 18 miles west of the town of Glendale, Oregon. The legal description of the Planning Area is Township (T) 32S, Range (R) 9W, Sections 8-9, 16-17, and 21.
