Evans Creek Forest Management Project Scoping
In July 2010 the Butte Falls Resource Area resumed the environmental analysis process for the Evans Creek project by mailing a scoping letter to 151 individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies. Scoping is the process used to identify the range of issues, management concerns, preliminary alternatives, and other components of a NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) document. It involves internal and public viewpoints. In return, the BLM received a total of 12 comment letters or emails in response to this mailing. In addition, the BLM received 245 nearly identical e-mail comments. All comments letters are listed below. Attachments are not included but are available on request.
