The Medford District Office of the Bureau of Land Management announces publication of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM) Record of Decision (ROD) and Resource Management Plan (RMP) (PDF).

This Land Use plan sets forth the final direction for managing the 52,947 acres of BLM lands in southwestern Oregon. The 2000 Presidential Proclamation reserved the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument in recognition of its remarkable ecology and to protect a diverse range of biological, geological, aquatic, archeological, and historic objects. The plan provides the strategies needed to protect and preserve these objects and the recreational, educational and scientific values within the monument. Many elements of the plan will take several years to implement.
