90 (Sahalie Falls to Willamette River) year-round class I-III+ The scenic McKenzie River offers rafting, kayaking, bank and drift boat fishing, and swimming.

There are numerous developed and undeveloped boats landing along the river. Generally, the further upstream the river flows, the rapids are more technical. Plan your float trip based on your knowledge of the river and technical ability.

Please respect private property and observe all posted signs along the river.

70 (Siuslaw Falls to Pacific Ocean) April –June class I-II+ The Siuslaw River offers fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and rafting.

Most rapids are located near the confluence of Lake Creek. This section of the river traverses mostly public land and there are many undeveloped boat landings available to the public for dispersed camping and picnicking.

Hult Recreation Site Hult Reservoir (many spots along shore) 0.75 year-round flat water This old log pond offers canoeing, kayaking, and other non-motorized boating.

The pond and surrounding wetlands support a diverse plant, fish, and wildlife population.

Osprey and bald eagles have been observed near the reservoir.

Lower Lake Creek (south of Triangle Lake)
This is a popular site to observe spawning steelhead, coho, and chinook salmon as they migrate through the fish ladder during the fall and winter months.
McKenzie River no year-round State Highway 126 between Walterville and Nimrod, Oregon Trout, steelhead, salmon, osprey, and bald eagles are observed here.
Whittaker Creek Recreation Site yes March - May

16 miles east of Mapleton, Oregon Coho and chinook salmon can be viewed spawning upstream at this watchable wildlife site.
Danebo Wetland / Tsal Luk-wah ("River of Grass") no year-round Danebo Avenue West Eugene There are over seven acres of prairie wetland with rare plant populations on this site. Herons, kestrels, killdeer, and kingfishers have been observed here.
Eastern Gateway/Swallow Pond no year-round West 7th Place West Eugene This 17-acre site includes ash woodland, ponds, and season wet prairie.
Fern Ridge Vicinity no year-round Royal Avenue West Eugene An extensive marsh habitat exists of about 5,000 acres that is managed as a state wildlife management area. Here waterfowl are numerous.
Lower Amazon Wetland no year-round Danebo Wetlands West Eugene The shallow Danebo Pond provides resting and feeding for many species of waterfowl and shorebirds.
Meadowlark Prairie Overlook no year-round   Elevated viewing area that overlooks much of the wetland and area to observe Western Meadowlark, short-eared owls, herons, Northern harriers, and red-tailed hawk.
Stewart Pond / Bertelsen Slough no year-round West 5th Avenue West Eugene Home to over 150 bird species. Geese and ducks are numerous during the wet season.
Willow Creek Natural Area no year-round West 18th Avenue West Eugene At over 300 acres, this site is one of the most important habitats for plants and wildlife species at the wetland. Over 200 species of plants and 75 birds have been observed here.
