| Summary: Summary: Decision Record for sample tree falling for the Bob N Weave and Sandy Quarry timber sales as analyzed in the Weaver-Sitkum Environmental Assessment (DOI-BLM-OR-C040-2010-0001-EA). Sample tree falling will occur on 570 acres of BLM-managed lands; land use allocations include General Forest Management Area (GFMA; 289 acres), Late-successional Reserve (LSR; 137 acres) and Riparian Reserve (RR; 144 acres). On average, 1 tree/2.5 acres will be felled for use in appraisal calculations. Not more than 200 trees total would be cut in support of this cruising method. Felled trees (excluding snags felled for safety reasons) will be removed in the harvest of the sale by each purchaser. | |
