This Environmental Assessment (EA) analyzes reasonable access to four of the inholdings located in the vicinity of Ankle Creek in the Steens Mountain Wilderness Area. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) needs to provide reasonable access to private land inholders within the boundaries of the Steens Mountain Wilderness.

Finding of No Significant Impact,Decision Record OR-027-02-011 Project Implementation Complete
As a result of the environmental analysis presented in the EA, and consideration of public comments, it is decided to authorize reasonable motorized use of the Ankle Creek Route, to be used for accessing the private inholdings, as identified under Alternative C of the EA.
