Burns District

Documents in Project

Decision Record,Categorical Exclusion DOI-BLM-OR-B060-2014-0018-CX Planning Completed
The proposed action is for the Pueblo-Lone Mountain Grazing Permittee (1 to 2 people in a vehicle) to construct a two-or three-wire temporary electric fence with gate encompassing approximately 20 acres around Stergen Meadows within Pueblo-Lone Mountain Allotment#6020 (See location map attached). The purpose and need of this fence is to keep livestock from loafing in and damaging the meadow during the hot summer months (July thru October); by constructing an approximately 20-acre exclosure, livestock utilization would be reduced within the meadow allowing the meadow to have more time to stabilize.
