The Proposed Action is to remove western juniper to reduce fuel loads and to restore or maintain sage-steppe habitat on 1,689 acres within the Mud Springs and Gravel Ridge Pastures of the Lone Pine Allotment (#7043) and the Lower Pasture ofthe Silvies River Allotment (#7033)(See Map). This area is designated as preliminary general habitat (PGH) for sage-grouse and critical mule deer and elk winter range habitat.
