Two-hundred fifty-six acres of the Meadow Flat Fire will be drill seeded with perennial species (crested wheatgrass, blue flax, basin wildrye, and forage kochia) to control and prevent short-term soil loss and cheatgrass and other invasive annuals from dominating the site. Seeding will be done through a cooperative range agreement with the allotment permittee. The BLM will provide the rangeland drills and seed and the permitee will use private tractors to seed the area.
