Summary: The BLM proposes to replace the foot bridge located at the Riddle Brothers Historic Ranch. The foot bridge is not a historic feature; however, it provides access to historic features on the other side of Little Blitzen River from the parking area. The proposed bridge will be an engineered design constructed from weathering steel with a wood deck and a compacted gravel ramp approach with wood posts and wood guard rails. The steel is designed to rust on the surface layer and create a rustic look which will blend in with the historic surroundings.
