Summary: The decision is to implement the Proposed Action: The existing 24-foot by 60-foot gravel boat ramp will be replaced with a 20-foot by 135-foot concrete boat ramp located approximately 400 feet west of the spillway. This will allow improvements to the ramp length, width, elevation, have more alignment with the prevailing wind, and have additional separation from the spillway.

Summary: The Three Rivers Resource Area, Burns District Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is gathering information for preparation of an Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze affects of facility improvements to recreation, social and economic resources, grazing, wild horses, fish, and wildlife at the Moon Reservoir facility. Facility improvements being considered are an upgraded launch ramp, vault toilet, parking facility, cattleguard and fencing, along with graveling of access roads. The BLM would like your specific thoughts on this proposal, including key information, concerns, or ideas you think would be important in helping to shape the development of alternatives and environmental effects analysis for the EA.
