Project Title: Medford District Road Resurfacing
Index Map Locator #: 25
State: Oregon
Unit: BLM - Medford District
Description:
The Medford District will replace culverts and surfacing on approximately 40 miles of paved and graveled roads. The focus is to replace failing culverts that affect public safety and directly contribute sediment into waterways.
Recovery Act Funding:
The funds will be used to replace culverts and resurface roads.
Benefits:
Culverts that are replaced will receive surfacing treatments that match their existing condition, for example, crushed rock or asphalt surfacing. The culvert replacements will keep mainline roads open for continued multiple use activities. The roads that will receive improvements include: West Fork Cow Creek, Elk Valley, Goodwin Creek, Starveout Jones, Upper Bull Run, Bull Run, Bull Run Creek, Swamp Creek, and the Swampford Creek.
