Description:
The existing HVAC system for the BLM owned Roseburg District Office is over 35 years old. The system is inefficient, requires a high level of maintenance and repair, and needs to be replaced. The project will replace the existing system with a modern, energy-efficiently designed HVAC system.

Recovery Act Funding:
Evaluation and design are complete. The contract will be advertised for 30 days starting sometime in the spring of 2010. Construction work will begin immediately after the contract has been awarded, which is schudeled for early summer, 2010, and will continue into the fall.
The project will use architects, engineers, and construction contractors for system evaluation, engineering design, materials and labor, heavy equipment and operators for construction and installation, and inspectors.
Benefits:
The upgraded HVAC system will be more energy- and cost-efficient than the existing system.
