Notice of Availability for the Final EIS
The Notice of Availability (NOA) is an official legal notice that a federal agency has completed the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and it is ready for public distribution. The Final EIS must be released to the public at least 30 days prior to making a decision on the Proposed Action. It is the responsibility of the agency preparing the EIS to publish the NOA in the Federal Register. Announcements that the Final EIS is ready for public distribution will also be provided to local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations.
A Notice of Availability to review the Clark, Lincoln, and White Pine Counties Groundwater Development Project Final EIS is expected to be published in the Federal Register and provided to local media in the spring of 2009. The Federal Register Notice and the Final EIS will also be posted on this website. Please check the website periodically for more information. You can also check the Federal Register at http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/index.html.
