Notice of Availability for Review of the Draft EIS

The Notice of Availability (NOA) is an official legal notice that a federal agency has completed the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and it is ready for public review.  The NOA establishes the start and end dates for the public comment period.  Comments received during this time will be addressed in the Final EIS.  It is the responsibility of the agency preparing the EIS to publish the NOA in the Federal Register.  Announcements that the Draft EIS is ready for public review, information about how to comment, and information about public meetings will also be provided to local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations.

A Notice of Availability to review and comment on the Clark, Lincoln, and White Pine Counties Groundwater Development Project Draft EIS is expected to be published in the Federal Register and provided to local media in the fall of 2008.  The Federal Register Notice and the Draft EIS will also be posted on this website.  Please check the website periodically for more information.  You can also check the Federal Register at http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/index.html.
