Left photo: Rescue teams at abandoned mine site use down-hole cameras, self-contained breathing appartus and other state of the art rescue equipment to try to reach man who fell down the stope.
Right photo: The abandoned mine opening when the man fell nearly 200 feet. The stulls (timbers) at the opening could date back to the early 1900s. Stulls are put in for bracing the walls to keep the wall from collapsing. Records indicate the last work at this mine may have been in 1945.
