Utah Motorcycle Club to conduct motorcycle races south of Wendover this weekend

ELKO, Nev. – This Saturday, Sept. 7, beginning at 7:30 a.m. PDT the Utah Desert Foxes Motorcycle Club will host the High Desert Enduro course on public lands located south of West Wendover, Nev.

The Bureau of Land Management is asking for the public’s cooperation in avoiding this area on Saturday to minimize potential impacts to recreationists from motorcycle traffic. The course will be marked; however, course contestants will be traveling at high rates of speed in the marked area during the day.

The race course is located approximately 11 miles south of West Wendover, west of the alternate 93, at the base of the Goshute Mountain range (map). The event is being operated under a Special Recreation Permit issued by the Elko District BLM.

More information on the race is located at the Utah Sports Riders Association website at http://usraracing.weebly.com.
