BLM to Offer Modified Competitive Sale of Public Lands in Camp Valley
Ely, Nev.-- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ely District, Schell Field Office is proposing to offer to the public through a modified competitive sale three parcels of agency-administered public lands totaling approximately 26.39 acres located in Camp Valley, about 35 miles northeast of Pioche, Nev. The parcels will be sold as a single unit. The BLM will accept written comments on the proposal during a 60-day public comment period which ends July 1, 2013.
The proposed sale is being conducted in accordance with the Lincoln County Conservation, Recreation, and Development Act of 2004, complies with the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, and is in conformance with the Ely Resource Management Plan. Five percent of the proceeds from the proposed land sale would go to the Nevada State General Education Fund, 10 percent to Lincoln County, and the remainder deposited in a special account to be used for wilderness planning and natural resource protection, and recreation and other opportunities in Lincoln County.
Publication of the Notice of Realty Action in the Federal Register segregates the three parcels from all appropriations under the public land laws, including the general mining and mineral laws, except the sale provisions of FLPMA.
Written comments may be submitted to the BLM Ely District Office, Attn: Cynthia Longinetti HC 33 Box 33500, Ely, NV 89301, fax: 775-289-1910, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Industrial Way, in Ely.
