BLM Auctions Pinion-Juniper Firewood


The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ely District is offering 109 cords of semi-seasoned, mixed pinion-pine and juniper firewood to the public through sealed competitive bid. The wood is cut in rounds that vary in length from 10 to 30 inches and longer.  The minimum bid is $40 per cord.

Bids will be accepted through Friday, Sept. 13, at the BLM Ely District Office, 702 North Industrial Way, in Ely.  Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Successful bidders will be contacted on Monday, Sept. 16.  Wood will be available for pick-up at the project site from Monday, Sept. 16 through Friday, Sept. 20.  A high-clearance 4-Wheel drive vehicle is required.

The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield. In Fiscal Year 2013, the BLM generated $4.7 billion in receipts from public lands.
