Palomino Valley Center49 wild horses were received. They unloaded with no problems. All are eating free choice hay and water.

44 wild horses were received at 12:50 p.m. All of the horses unloaded without incident. Horses started to eat and drink water as soon as they were in their pens.

One mare and one yearling are being treated for injuries and anticipate they will recover with additional medical treatment and time.

On June 29, one young foal that had arrived in poor condition based on malnutrition, was found dead in its pen. Additionally on this day, a mare was euthanized due to being unable to adjust to feed change and maintain body condition. 

Wednesday, July 4 No horses were shipped.

Palomino Valley Center42 wild horses were received at 12:15 p.m. All of the horses unloaded without incident. Horses started to eat and drink water as soon as they were in their pens. Mares and foals are paired.

Palomino Valley Center42 wild horses were received at 12:55 p.m. All animals off loaded without incident. The horses started to eat and drink water as soon as they were in their pens. Mares and foals paired.

Palomino Valley Center

28 wild horses were received at 10:30 a.m. All animals off loaded without incident and are eating grass hay and have water available.

41 animals were received at 11 a.m. All horses off loaded without incident and are eating grass hay and have water available.

3 horses were found dead at the facility this morning: 2 foals with poor body condition were found dead in their pen, and 1 mare suffered a broken neck.

Palomino Valley Center43 animals arrived at 11 a.m. All of the horses off loaded without incident. The horses started to eat and drink water as soon as they were in their pens. Mares and foals all paired.

12 animals arrived at 10:30 a.m. All horses off loaded without incident and are eating grass hay and have water available.

All Jackson horses received to date are adjusting well to domestic feed and captivity.

Palomino Valley Center 47 animals arrived at 10 a.m. All animals off loaded without incident and are eating grass hay and have water available.

Six animals arrived at 10 a.m. All off-loaded without incident. All are eating grass hay and have free choice water or water with electrolytes.

All horses received from the Jackson Mountains HMA are adjusting well to domestic feed and captivity.

Palomino Valley Center43 animals arrived at 10:30 a.m. All of the horses unloaded without any incident. Horses started to eat as soon as they were in their pens. Mares & foals paired.

39 animals arrived at 10:45 a.m. All the horses unloaded without incident. Mares and foals paired. Horses started to eat as soon as they were in their pens. 

Horses that arrived on previous days are improving daily.

18 animals arrived this morning at 10:50 a.m. All horses unloaded without incident. Horses started to eat as soon as they were in their pens.

The young foal that had difficulty pairing yesterday is doing fine this a.m. with its mother.

All horses received to date are adjusting to captivity, eating, drinking and regaining strength.

Palomino Valley Center39 animals arrived this morning at 10:30 a.m. All horses unloaded without incident. Horses started to eat as soon as they were in their pens. One young foal has not found its mother at this time. The foal will be monitored and then placed in orphan care if it does not find its mother.
