Central Nevada Air Resources

Air resources are critical to keeping wildfires small and containing them within the initial attack time period. Central Nevada Interagency Dispatch Center provides resource tracking for air resources during initial and extended attack fires. We also provide support during reconnaissance flights for fire detection and wildlife surveys.
When air resources are on a fire, the fire may ask the FAA to issue a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) around the fire perimeter. The TFR’s are put in place to ensure the safety of the pilots fighting the fire and the safety of the public.
