The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 serves as our nation's charter for the protection of the environment. All proposed actions affecting public lands or resources must be reviewed for NEPA compliance. This review under NEPA publicly discloses potential impacts and informs the decision maker of environmental consequences. | |

WINNEMUCCA DISTRICT NEPA AVAILABLE THROUGH ePLANNING!
 | | | |
The Bureau of Land Management is in the process of transitioning the delivery method of land use planning and NEPA documents to the public through the use of ePlanning. Nevada is leading the way in this effort, and the Winnemucca District has now started adding NEPA documents to the ePlanning NEPA Register. The ePlanning NEPA Register provides easy and interactive access to NEPA documents and allows you - our interested public - to search for projects and to provide comments during open comment periods on these projects. If you have questions, please contact the Winnemucca District Planning and Environmental Coordinators (Lynn Ricci or Zwaantje Rorex) at: Bureau of Land Management Winnemucca District Office 5100 E. Winnemucca Blvd. Winnemucca, NV 89445 775-623-1500
