BLM Seeks Public Comment on Arrow Canyon Wilderness Management Plan

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Las Vegas Field Office announces the availability of the Arrow Canyon Wilderness ─ Draft Wilderness Management Plan (WMP) and Environmental Assessment (EA). The comment period is open April 12−May 17, 2013.

You can view the Draft WMP and EA by accessing the BLM Southern Nevada District website at www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/lvfo.html where it will be listed “In the Spotlight.” Select “Arrow Canyon Wilderness Draft Plan and Environmental Assessment.”

The Draft WMP and EA addresses actions within the wilderness such as designated trails, restoration of disturbances and technical rock climbing, as well as actions immediately adjacent to the wilderness including access and information provided to the public.

Written comments may be addressed to lvwilderness@blm.gov, faxed to 702-515-5023 or mailed to Sendi Kalcic, Wilderness Specialist, Las Vegas Field Office, Bureau of Land Management, 4701 N.
