Transportation Scholarship Application
Guidelines

Teachers who have attended an “Explore the Great Outdoors” (EGO) Workshop are invited to apply for a “Transportation Scholarship” intended to cover bus transportation costs. 

Please complete the entire application and include a cope of your certificate. For more information about field trips, to schedule a field trip, or for more information about other workshops, please call the BLM Environmental Education Coordinator at 515-5363. Requests for field trips will be processed in the order that they are received. 

Fall/Winter (October through December) field trip applications are accepted June 1st to September 3rd with notification by September 9th. Spring/Summer (January-July) field trip applications are accepted September 15th to November 5th with notification by the week of November 7th.
To Qualify:
1) The applicant must have completed an Explore the Great Outdoors Part 1 Workshop prior to submittal.
2) There MUST be someone available during contact weeks to verify program types, times, and dates. 
3) One application per teacher. 
4) One bus per applicant awarded. 
5) Scholarships must be taken during the season in which it was issued. 
6) Applications or faxes must be received by the due date for consideration.
7) Applications, including a one page justification, must be complete.
