The transportation plan goal is to maintain a road network that will continue to allow access as well as reduce road proliferation, decrease vandalism to sensitive archeological areas, help prevent the spread of noxious and invasive weeds and increase the amount of quality habitat for sensitive species such as the desert tortoise.  Meetings will be held in the following locations:

• June 1, 5 to 8 p.m. - Logandale/Moapa - Ron Lewis Fine Arts Building at Logandale    Fairgrounds
• June 6, 5 to 8 p.m. - Mesquite - Mesquite City Hall
• June 8, 5 to 8 p.m. - Bunkerville - Old Gym next to Community Center

The meetings will begin with a 30-minute open house format, where participants can ask questions and visit various resource stations.  Brief presentations on the Partners in Conservation’s roads inventory project and the planning process will follow.  A question and answer session will follow the presentations.  Public comments will be gathered during the meeting through station flip-charts and comment cards.
