Red Rock Canyon Unveils New Exhibits

Who: Bureau of Land Management, Las Vegas Field Office

What: Event celebrating completion of new exhibits at Red Rock Canyon

When: Tuesday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center

Why: The new exhibits replaced displays that were nearly 20 years old. New exhibits feature information on history of Red Rock, geology, rock climbing, Old Spanish Trail and Mojave Desert animals as well as computers dedicated to monitoring of weather and seismic activity in the area.

How: Funds for the project were made available through the sale of public lands under the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act and the Friends of Red Rock Canyon.
