Red Rock Canyon Now Accepting Applications for School-based Programs

Las Vegas --- The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (NCA) is changing its education reservation system for the 2004-05 school year. 

Public, private, and home school groups who wish to schedule Ranger-led programs, or self-guided field trips to Red Rock Canyon NCA must now apply through a lottery system. The new system will expedite and simplify the application process.

Lottery applications are now being accepted for the fall and spring periods.

The Mojave Max Education Program, offered September through November, 2004, will be the only classroom program offered this school year.  In addition, Transportation Scholarships are still available for qualified Explore the Great Outdoors Teacher’s Workshop graduates.
