The public comment period was from August 5 to December 5, 2011.  Public meetings were held:

  • November 1 - 1 to 4 p.m. - Henderson Convention Center - 200 S. Water St.
  • November 2 - 6 to 9 p.m. - Coronado High School - 1001 Coronado Center Drive
  • November 3 - 6 to 9 p.m. - Liberty High School - 3700 Liberty Heights Avenue

Court Reporter Transcripts

The transcripts from the public hearings held on November 1, 2 & 3, 2011 on the Draft Environmental Statement (EIS) for the Sloan Hills Competitive Mineral Material Sales, are being provided for your information.  Please note, the transcripts have not been edited or altered in any way, nor has the BLM responded to any of comments or questions found in the transcripts.

The BLM will use the comments made during the public meetings, along with all other written and verbal comments, in our decision regarding the competitive mineral material sales in the Sloan Hills area.  Responses and analysis of all the public comments received during the comment period will be included in the Final EIS and Record of Decision.
