Range Improvement Projects
Management of public lands in a manner that will protect, enhance, or rehabilitate the condition and productivity of renewable resources is central to the Rangeland Management Program. Rangeland improvement projects are planned every year. Range Improvements are installed, used, maintained, and/or modified on the public lands in a manner consistent with multiple-use management. The actions are analyzed in a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document.
The Ely District invites the public to provide input and information to be considered in rangeland health evaluations and NEPA documents. NEPA documents are posted on the E-Gov for Planning and NEPA (ePlanning) website.
