The Snow Springs Allotment is a land based allotment. It located within the southeast portion of Lincoln County, near the Clark County/Lincoln County boundary approximately 32 miles southeast of Caliente, Nevada (Map #1).

The allotment encompasses approximately 44,042 acres with portions of it occurring either within the Tule Desert (#218), Beaver Dam Wash (#215) or Toquop Wash (#230) Watersheds.

Neither the allotment nor any of its portions are located within a Wild Horse Herd Management Area (HMA), Herd Area (HA) or Wilderness Area.

However, desert tortoise habitat does occur within the allotment. Desert tortoise habitat considered non-critical and not an Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) occurs in the approximate northern three-fourths of the allotment. The southern one-fourth of the allotment has desert tortoise habitat which is considered critical habitat.

An evaluation of rangeland monitoring data and rangeland health will be conducted for the allotment. This information will be summarized in a Standards Determination Document that will be provided for public review at a later date.
