Steptoe/Butte Valley CWMA Sponsors Logo Contest

Design a logo for the Steptoe/Butte Valley Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) and you could earn $150.  The CWMA is dedicated to the control of noxious and invasive weeds, and will use the selected artwork on its letterhead, public education and outreach materials, and more.

The contest is open to all ages.  Black and white, or color artwork will be accepted.  Submissions must be on 8 ½ x 11 paper with the entrant’s name, address and phone number on the reverse side.  Entries will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 8.  The winner will be announced at the White Pine County Fair, scheduled Aug. 16-17.

Artwork may be submitted by mail to CWMA Chairperson Paula Carson, PO Box 150940, Ely NV 89315, or the BLM Ely District Office, HC 33 Box 33500, Ely, NV 89301.

The Steptoe/Butte Valley CWMA includes members of the general public, Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition, City of Ely, Tri-County Weed Program, Nevada Department of Agriculture, Nevada Department of Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management Ely District and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Ely Ranger District.
