Mechanized forms of transportation such as automobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles and mountain bikes are not allowed in wilderness areas. Lincoln County has 14 wilderness areas, designated through the Lincoln County Conservation, Recreation and Development Act of 2004.
