White Pine County Commission Makes National Public Lands Day Official
The White Pine County Commission Wednesday proclaimed Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, as National Public Lands Day.
This year, National Public Lands Day, or NPLD, is scheduled at Camp Success, about 30 miles southeast of Ely, to celebrate White Pine County’s wildlands with an emphasis on recreation. Volunteers are invited to participate in trails and other improvement projects. Outdoor education activities are scheduled for children of elementary school age.
