BLM Begins Public Comment Period for Proposed Alamo Land Sale
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Ely Field Office on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, published in the Federal Register a notice of direct sale initiating a 45-day public comment period on the proposed sale to Lincoln County of approximately 217 acres of BLM-administered public lands near Alamo, Nev., for industrial park development.
Comments on the sale will be accepted until 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007. Interested individuals should address all written comments to Field Manager, BLM Las Vegas Field Office, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130.
Comments, including names, street addresses, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of respondents will be available for public review at the BLM Las Vegas Field Office during regular business hours.
The BLM anticipates offering this parcel for sale to Lincoln County on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2007, pending no unresolved issues.
This sale complies with the Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act (FLTFA). A portion of the proceeds will be paid to the state and the remainder will be deposited in the Federal Land Disposal Account for acquisition of in-holdings or other such lands in Nevada.
