The BLM Ely Field Office Friday donated to the White Pine School District computers and related equipment, valued at more than $58,000. The donated equipment will replace outdated equipment currently in use by local students. The BLM this week also donated computer equipment valued at more than $1,200 to the non-profit White Pine Community Training Center. Changes in technology periodically require the BLM to upgrade its equipment. In certain circumstances, policy allows the BLM to donate equipment being replaced to tax-supported schools.
