BLM Hires Project Managers For Groundwater Development Project EIS The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has hired two project managers to oversee the preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement on the Clark, Lincoln, and White Pine Counties Groundwater Development Project. BLM is required to complete the EIS before Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) may proceed with any part of the proposal to drill groundwater wells and build pipelines on public lands. Bruce Flinn, the owner of Coyote Consulting Company located in Lakewood, Colorado, has been hired as the Project Manager. Flinn managed several large environmental projects across the west during his 28-year career with BLM. He opened his consulting firm in 2000. Serving as the Deputy Project Manager for Communications is Jennifer Salisbury, a consultant from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Salisbury, an attorney, has extensive experience working with the public on natural resource issues. Gene Kolkman, BLM’s Ely Field Office Manager said, “I am pleased both Bruce and Jennifer have joined our team. They bring a wealth of knowledge to the project and should help ensure the public is kept fully informed of the progress of this EIS. I really encourage members of the community to call and get to know them.” Kolkman also announced that the public may obtain additional information on the project by accessing BLM’s website or calling Marilyn Chapman at 289-1919 to get on the project’s mailing list.
