BLM Meeting To Explore Ely Shoshone Reservation Expansion Possibilities

The BLM Ely Field Office is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26, to conduct a public meeting at the BLM Ely Field Office to discuss the possibility of expanding the Ely Shoshone Reservation.

In addition to presenting the possibilities, BLM Ely Field Office staff will gather public input on the following: cultural, livestock grazing, mining, oil and gas leasing, public access, Threatened and Endangered Species, wildlife and wild horses.

Public input will be included in a BLM recommendation to the secretary of the Department of the Interior. Public input would continue to play an important role throughout the process.
