Grazing Permit Renewal for Orren Nash (#2705083) for the McGuffy, Panaca Cattle, Roadside, and White Hills Allotments
The purpose and need is to fully process the renewal of the grazing permits for Orren Nash on the McGuffy (01043), Panaca Cattle (01053), Roadside (01061), and White Hills (01082) Allotments. The current permit has been issued for the period of 3/1/05 to 2/2/8/2015. The issuance of the term permit would be for a period of up to 10 years.

An evaluation of the rangeland monitoring data and rangeland health will be conducted for the McGuffy, Panaca Cattle, Roadside, and White Hills allotments. This data will be summarized in a standards determination document.
The McGuffy Allotment occurs in the Escalante Desert Watershed, bordering the Utah/Nevada Stateline. The allotment is located 11 miles east of Panaca, Nevada and is located within 24 miles of the Tunnel Spring Wilderness. The allotment encompasses 22,115 acres of BLM public lands. The allotment occurs within the Deer Lodge Canyon Herd Management Area for wild horses.
The Panaca Cattle Allotment is located 1.5 miles south of Panaca, Nevada. The allotment occurs in the Panaca Valley Watershed (#060). The allotment is located within 14 miles of the Tunnel Spring Wilderness. The allotment encompasses 16,275 acres of BLM managed lands. The allotment occurs in the Little Mountain Herd Management Area for wild horses.
The Roadside Allotment is due south and adjacent to Panaca, Nevada. The allotment occurs in the Panaca Valley Watershed (#060) and is located 16 miles from the Tunnel Spring Wilderness. The allotment encompasses 1,123 acres of BLM managed lands. The allotment occurs in the Little Mountain Herd Management Area for wild horses.
The White Hills Allotment is also due south to the Panaca, Nevada. The allotment occurs in the Panaca Valley Watershed (#060) and is located 17 miles from the Tunnel Spring Wilderness. The allotment encompasses 2,755 acres of BLM managed lands. The allotment occurs in the Little Mountain Herd Management Area for wild horses.
