BLM Response to Allegations of Animal Cruelty

The care, well-being, and humane treatment of America’s wild horses and burros, both on and off the range, are the highest priority for the Bureau of  Land Management's Wild Horse and Burro Program. In response to an incident and video taken on January 27 of a mare that slipped and fell in the snow, the BLM conducted an internal review of the incident.
