Perennial. Grows from 1 to 3 feet tall. Forms dense colonies. It has a dense, deep root system will make it difficult to control. White flowers form dense clusters near branch ends. Flowering occurs between June and September. Reproduction occurs by seed and rootstocks. A native of southern Europe and western Asia, this plant is widely established in the western United States. Non-standard name is tall whitetop.
This was a perennial pepperweed root that was completely dug out of the ground. The plant was able to grow from the root piece that was left on the ground.
