HUBBARD VINYARD ALLOTMENT REVIEWED

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Elko Field Office has prepared an allotment evaluation on the Hubbard Vineyard Allotment and associated Environmental Assessment, and is inviting public comment on the Assessment.

The allotment is on the east side of the Snake Range about 50 miles north of Wells, Nev. The Environmental Assessment for the allotment focuses on the impacts of livestock grazing management on approximately 112,000 acres of public land with 12,600 acres of intermingled private land.

The Preliminary Environmental Assessment and the Draft Finding of no Significant Impact, are available on line at http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/elko_field_office/blm_information/nepa.2.html or go the BLM Elko Field Office home page, click on Information, click on NEPA, and then scroll down to Environmental Assessments. Comments will be accepted until November 2, 2007.
