ELKO FIELD MANAGER MOVING TO ARIZONA

Long-time Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Elko Field Manager Helen Hankins has accepted a new position as the BLM Associate State Director in Arizona.

“This is certainly a case of Nevada’s loss is Arizona’s gain,” said BLM Nevada State Director Ron Wenker. “Helen is one of BLM’s most effective managers. During her nearly 12 years in Elko, she’s tackled tough issues and dealt with them fairly. She has been very active in community organizations such as Rotary, Toast Masters, Chamber of Commerce, and many more. We wish her success in her new position.”

Hankins moved to Elko from Alaska in June 1995. She will move to Phoenix and assume her new duties in mid May.
