TRAVEL MANAGEMENT PLANNING WORKSHOP SCHEDULED

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Elko Field Office is hosting a public workshop
to continue the Travel Management Planning process for public lands in Northeastern Nevada. The workshop will be held Monday, March 20, 2006, 6:00 p.m. at the BLM Elko Field Office, 3900 East Idaho Street, Elko, Nevada.
“We invite the public to join us as we continue planning for the future of vehicle travel and multiple uses on public lands in Northeastern Nevada,” said Clint Oke, Assistant Field Manager for Non-Renewable Resources, BLM Elko Field Office. “We received some good ideas from the public about Spruce Mountain and we'll be using them when we continue developing the Travel Management Plan for Spruce Mountain. Now we would like to hear from the public on which other areas in the Elko Field Office area where people would like to see additional emphasis. Travel Management Planning is an open process and we depend on public participation to make it effective.” For questions or more information, please contact Tamara Hawthorne by phone - (775) 753-0200, by email - thawthorne@nv.blm.gov, or by mail - 3900 Idaho St., Elko, NV, 89801.
